How did it all start?

I was not a born poet, nobody is. I don’t even consider myself a good poet, but I do know that I feel very contended and happy whenever I write. Writing poems is not something that I can force myself to do, however, I know one thing, that there are some wires that crossed inside my head one day and that’s the reason why I started writing.

Poetry as a skill does not come naturally to all humans, but for some of the fortunate ones like me, it is very easy. Maybe our brains are designed in a particular format. Maybe the incidents in our life twisted the wiring inside in such a way that we ended up on the other side. Whatever maybe the reason, I’m fortunate to have this as a hobby and I cherish every moment with it.

Out of the 125 poems that I have written till date, most of these I don’t even go back and read, but some of these poems are my true favorites. I love reading those time and again, it helps me to re-live those moments of my life when I wrote it for the first time, and that is such a wonderful feeling. I personally feel that poetry and photography are quite synonymous. Like when you capture a still image in your camera, you can see that image and re-live that moment every time you see it, same with poetry too. Every time you read that poem, will bring back those memories and that state of mind, in which you composed it.

I’m glad that I’m associated with not just one but both of these hobbies.
